In 2015, the Museums of Sonoma County launched the Art4Kids Youth Education Program. With the generous support provided by the Community Foundation of Sonoma County, the Museums have been able to collaborate with local teacher-artists to bring arts education into 5th and 6th grade classrooms.
The students participate in a series of hands-on art lessons, involving curriculum that relates to the current exhibit in the Art Museum, and are later invited to the Museums for a guided tour.
With the support of the Community Foundation, the Arts4Kids program has been renewed for the 2017-2018 school year! We are extremely impressed with the students' creativity and are proud to exhibit their artwork.
A special thanks to our participating teachers and schools:
Abraham Lincoln Elementary, Helen Lehman Elementary, Roseland Elementary, Luther Burbank Elementary
